The Meals and Drug Administration (FDA) lately issued a Class 1 recall of tomatoes probably contaminated with salmonella, the company’s highest classification stage.

Williams Farms Repack LLC’s recall of tomatoes in “4×5 2 layer, 60ct 2layer, 3ct trays in the Williams Farms Repack label” and “5×6 25lb, 6×6 25lb H&C Farms Label” acquired a Class 1 designation from the FDA final week. 

Class 1 alerts a “situation in which there is a reasonable probability that the use of, or exposure to, a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death,” in line with the company’s web site.
