A Virginia lady gained an eye-popping sum after unintentionally buying the unsuitable lottery ticket at a fuel station.

Carrollton resident Kelly Lindsay purchased the successful ticket at a Race Method station in her city in January. She was initially sad about “being given the wrong ticket,” she advised officers, having needed to play a special lottery sport.

However that Cash Blitz ticket ended up containing the right numbers for the sport’s second-place prize of $2 million. Lindsay scratched the ticket within the car parking zone and shortly realized of her luck.

“And I got over not being happy about it!” she joked.

According to the Virginia Lottery, one more top prize is still unclaimed. The chances of winning the top prize are less than one in a million.

Lindsay’s lottery win is certainly one of many who have occurred accidentally. Final fall, an Illinois lottery participant gained $9.2 million after taking part in the unsuitable sport.
