San Jose man arrested on suspicion of tried homicide

CAMPBELL – A verbal dispute between two males earlier this month in downtown Campbell ended with one deliberately hitting the opposite with a automotive and driving away, based on police.

The sufferer was taken to Valley Medical Middle and launched the next day in “good condition,” based on police.

Detectives used video surveillance footage and automatic license plate readers to hyperlink the suspect car, described as a black BMW, to 24-year-old San Jose resident Mardin Gevargiz, police mentioned.

The sufferer additionally recognized Gevargiz as the driving force of the BMW, based on police.

On Friday, officers arrested Gevargiz with out incident at his residence on suspicion of tried homicide, assault with a lethal weapon inflicting nice bodily damage and illegally possessing an assault rifle, police mentioned.

Officers later served him with a gun violence restraining order, which bars him from having, proudly owning or shopping for any weapons, gun components or magazines, based on police.

As of Monday, Gevargiz remained in custody on the Fundamental Jail in San Jose, police mentioned.
