RICHMOND — A 54-year-old Richmond man remained in jail Tuesday following his arrest in what authorities stated was a home violence assault Monday on the motive force of an AC Transit bus.
The motive force of the bus suffered superficial lower wounds and glided by ambulance to a hospital for remedy, authorities stated.
Contra Costa Sheriff’s Workplace spokesperson Jimmy Lee in an announcement stated deputies arrested the suspect on suspicion of tried homicide and home violence following the 7:35 a.m. encounter exterior the Richmond BART station on Nevin Road.
The person is also suspected of violating a restraining order leading to bodily harm to the protected particular person, illegal possession of tear fuel and assault with a lethal weapon, Lee stated.
He was being held on the Martinez Detention Facility in lieu of $630,000 bail.
Authorities haven’t supplied some other particulars of the assault.
The date and time of the person’s first courtroom look had not been publicly launched Tuesday afternoon.
