The Higher Lake Tahoe Space and Higher Lake Tahoe Space are the main focus of a lake wind advisory issued at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday by the Nationwide Climate Service. The advisory is legitimate for Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
In response to the NWS Reno NV, “Southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph and waves 2 to 4 feet for Lake Tahoe.”
“Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve,” the NWS stated. “Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind.”
