Girl dies after being struck by Amtrak practice in Berkeley

BERKELEY — A lady died Friday morning after she was struck by an Amtrak practice, authorities stated.

Her title has not but been launched pending notification of her household.

The deadly collision occurred about 10:11 a.m. Friday on the railroad tracks close to the Gilman Road crossing, officers stated.

The lady was hit by an Amtrak San Joaquin line practice touring from Oakland to Bakersfield, officers stated.

The lady was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Not one of the greater than 30 passengers and crew members on the practice have been injured.

The practice was stopped whereas authorities investigated and resumed service  about an hour later.
