Gilroy’s Dustin Wolf, the Calgary Flames’ star rookie goalie, signed a seven-year, $52.5 million contract extension on Tuesday.
Wolf completed second in Calder Trophy voting final season as NHL rookie of the 12 months, one spot forward of San Jose’s Macklin Celebrini and one spot behind winner Lane Hutson of Montreal.

Wolf had a 29-16-8 file with a .910 save share and a 2.64 goals-against common.
The 24-year-old completed eleventh in wins and save share amongst NHL goalies in his rookie season, backstopping Calgary to the brink of a playoff berth.
