Driver lifeless in fiery Walnut Creek crash is recognized

WALNUT CREEK — A driver who crashed right into a tree and died after the automobile turned engulfed in flames was a Brentwood resident, authorities stated.

The crash on Ygnacio Valley Highway close to N. Broadway on June 29 killed 24-year-old Evan Lonsdale. The Contra Costa Sheriff’s Workplace recognized him publicly.

Walnut Creek police stated Lonsdale misplaced management of the automobile about 2:15 a.m. and ended up hitting a tree in a parking zone within the 600 block of Ygnacio Valley Highway. He died on the scene.

The hearth didn’t unfold from the automotive to any of the opposite buildings. Contra Costa Hearth Safety District crews put out the flames.
