Authorities determine motorcyclist killed in Livermore crash

LIVERMORE — A girl who died Monday after police stated she misplaced management of the bike she was using and collided with a automobile and concrete barrier was recognized by the coroner’s bureau Wednesday as Darin Chan, 37, of Livermore.

The deadly collision occurred about 4 a.m. Monday on the intersection of Airway Boulevard and Isabel Avenue.

Police stated preliminary findings point out Chan was stopped on the visitors mild on westbound Airway Boulevard, getting ready to show proper onto northbound Isabel Avenue. As Chan started the flip, she misplaced management of the Kawasaki 650 bike, traveled throughout Isabel Avenue and struck an Acura sedan that was slowing for the crimson mild whereas getting ready to show left.

The bike then collided with a concrete barrier. Chan, who police stated was sporting a helmet, was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The driving force of the Acura, a 35-year-old Modesto man, was the only real occupant and was not injured, police stated. He referred to as 911 instantly and has been cooperating with investigators, police stated.

One southbound lane of Isabel Avenue close to Interstate 580 was closed for roughly 4 hours for the investigation and roadway cleanup.
