Congress Councillor Phuntsog Stanzin Tsepag has mentioned that he was not concerned in violent protests in Ladakh that killed 4 individuals on Wednesday.

His clarification got here after the BJP alleged that he instigated the mob and took part in violence that focused the workplaces of the BJP and the Hill Council.

In a video shared by Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate, the Congress Councillor mentioned he’ll file a defamation lawsuit in opposition to those that linked him with violence.

“Some people are saying that I was involved in the Ladakh violence; this is absolutely wrong. The person appearing in that video is not me. I will file a defamation lawsuit against all the people who are saying wrong things,” he mentioned.

Hours after the BJP workplace in Leh was set on hearth, BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya shared a photograph and mentioned Congress Councillor Phuntsog Stanzin Tsepag instigated individuals to violence.

“This man rioting in Ladakh is Phuntsog Stanzin Tsepag, Congress Councillor for Upper Leh Ward. He can be clearly seen instigating the mob and participating in violence that targeted the BJP office and the Hill Council. Is this the kind of unrest Rahul Gandhi has been fantasising about?” he wrote on X.

4 individuals have been killed in firing when the police tried to manage violent protests for statehood in Ladakh on Wednesday. A minimum of 50 individuals have been detained to date in reference to the violence that broke out on Wednesday through the shutdown referred to as by Leh Apex Physique (LAB) to demand an extension of the Sixth Schedule and statehood for Ladakh.

Former minister and Congress chief Nawang Rigzin Jora has additionally challenged the federal government’s accusation that the get together was behind inciting the individuals for the violence. “There is a lot of blame game going around. Some of these are targeting the Congress councillor for leading the mob on the basis of a purported photograph. Nothing can be further from the truth. We challenge the administration on this count,” the Congress Ladakh president mentioned.
