Oakland police investigates Fruitvale-area taking pictures that left man wounded

OAKLAND — A taking pictures in Oakland’s Fruitvale neighborhood Saturday evening left a person severely wounded, in line with police.

The taking pictures occurred simply earlier than 7 p.m. Saturday night within the 1700 block of Fruitvale Avenue, cops said.

The person who was wounded was transported to an area hospital and was reported to be in grave situation, in line with Oakland police.

The taking pictures occurred after the person turned concerned in a confrontation with a bunch of males. One of many males concerned within the confrontation shot the sufferer.

The sufferer was reported by police to be a person in his 30s and is believed to be an Oakland resident, police mentioned. The sufferer’s identify wasn’t launched.

The motive for the taking pictures wasn’t instantly disclosed. No detailed info was instantly obtainable concerning the suspect.

Anybody with info concerning the taking pictures is requested to contact the Oakland Police Division detectives who’re investigating the case at 510-238-3426.
