SARATOGA — Willow Glen’s undefeated season is over.

The Rams entered Saturday‘s CCS Open Division championship 28-0 and the No. 1 seed of their playoff bracket. However No. 2 St. Francis proved to be a worthy challenger.

The Lancers scored two within the first inning in opposition to Rams famous person Alanna Clincy and saved including on, constructing a four-run lead within the fourth. That held up till Willow Glen rallied to tie the sport within the fifth.

However St. Francis took the lead within the eighth inning and went on to win 9-6, profiting from two bases-loaded walks.

Each groups might be again in motion throughout the CIF NorCal regional playoffs beginning on Tuesday. Regional matchups might be launched on Sunday.
