The “old gold” hue softens the yellow that the Mountaineers have donned in recent times, whereas “light blue” gives a minor adjustment on this system’s ordinary navy coloration. The uniform is capped off by a contemporary version of the helmet the crew wore in 1965, which options “WVU” in an old-school, bolded font superimposed over a powder blue define of the Mountain State.
