Cupertino-Toyokawa Sister Cities, Inc. hosted its sixth annual Bell Ringing for World Peace ceremony on Aug. 6. CADRE of volunteers
Collaborating Businesses’ Catastrophe Aid Effort, or CADRE, launched its Group Help Networks for Resilience Mission this month, geared toward recruiting 1,000 volunteers over age 55 to assist set up 20 discipline-specific neighborhood assist networks in Santa Clara County.
These networks will likely be designed to construct the capability of organizations that work in or serve key areas of the neighborhood, together with entry and fairness, animal welfare, enterprise and employment, environmental challenges, well being companies, operations and social assist.
Sponsored by AmeriCorps’ Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), the Group Help Networks are designed to determine pre-emergency consciousness and communication processes that will likely be leveraged when the subsequent catastrophe strikes.
