UPS airplane crashes close to airport in Louisville, Kentucky, officers say

Accidents have been reported after a UPS airplane crashed close to the Louisville Worldwide Airport on Tuesday, officers stated.

The Louisville Metro Police Division described the scene as lively with “fire and debris,” warning residents to steer clear of Fern Valley and Grade Lane, an intersection positioned on the south facet of the airport, which serves because the hub of UPS.

A shelter-in-place initially issued for a 5-mile radius of the airport was prolonged for all areas north of the airport to the Ohio River, police stated.

UPS stated in an announcement that it was notified of an incident involving certainly one of its plane. Three UPS crewmembers have been on board, the corporate stated. It didn’t instantly present extra particulars.
