Unidentified physique recovered close to Santa Cruz County seaside

DAVENPORT — Emergency responders retrieved the physique of an unresponsive man from the ocean north of Davenport Seashore over the weekend.

Witnesses referred to as 911 shortly round 1:15 p.m. Saturday to report recognizing what seemed to be a physique within the water not removed from a sea cave and stays of a pier. Santa Cruz County Supervisor Justin Cummings recognized himself on his private social media as the one that had found the physique, describing the person as an obvious middle-aged white grownup man with brown hair. Cummings urged those that would possibly know of a lacking particular person to contact the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Workplace.

The Sheriff’s Workplace isn’t treating the dying as suspicious, based on company spokesperson Ashley Keehn. She confirmed the outline of a white man who seemed to be middle-aged.

The Sheriff’s Workplace, Cal Fireplace CZU unit, Santa Cruz Fireplace Division, State Parks rescue swimmers and different companies responded to the decision. Responders retrieved the physique from the water however pronounced him useless on the scene, Keehn stated.

The Coroner’s Unit continued to work to establish the decedent Monday, Keehn stated.
