Stay map: Rain within the Bay Space and a whole lot of Sierra snow

One other wave of rain was anticipated to achieve the Bay Space on Monday and keep till Tuesday evening.

The updating radar map above reveals present areas of precipitation in inexperienced, with better intensities indicated by yellow and orange.

The Nationwide Climate Service issued a number of advisories associated to the storm, together with:

• A flood look ahead to a lot of the Bay Space till 4 a.m. Wednesday.

• A wind advisory for the San Mateo County coast till 8 p.m. Tuesday.

• A winter storm warning for the Lake Tahoe space till 7 a.m. Wednesday, with 1 to three ft of snow above 7,000 ft elevation and wind gusts as much as 100 mph on the ridges. “Travel could be very difficult to impossible, especially over passes,” the climate service mentioned.

• A winter storm warning for Yosemite and the southern Sierra Nevada till 10 a.m. Wednesday, with as much as 4 ft of snow attainable.
