Korean Air and the U.S. protection contractor
L3Harris Applied sciences held an ‘L3 Trade Day’ on the Air Pressure
Resort in Seoul on Tuesday, to debate strengthening the South
Korean Air Pressure’s airborne surveillance and reconnaissance
capabilities.
Attendees included Jung Woo Park, Senior Vice
President and Head of Korean Air’s Aerospace Enterprise Division,
Jason W. Lambert, President of L3Harris Intelligence, Surveillance
and Reconnaissance (ISR), and representatives from 30 home and
worldwide protection corporations, together with Israel Aerospace
Industries (IAI), ELTA Methods, LIG Nex1, Yeonhab Precision, and
Han-ul Methods.
The Republic of Korea Air Pressure is trying to
purchase extra Airborne Early Warning & Management (AEW&C)
methods to boost its surveillance capabilities.

Such plane function airborne command facilities, offering
complete airspace monitoring and real-time management of
navy operations.
At present, the Korean Air Pressure operates 4
Boeing E-737 ‘Peace Eye’ airborne management plane and a second part
of the mission, with a funds of KRW 2.9 trillion (roughly
US$2.1 billion), is underway to
procure extra plane by 2031.
L3Harris has proposed an answer for the second
part, integrating Bombardier’s World 6500 plane with IAI’s
state-of-the-art radar methods.
Korean Air, leveraging its 2022
cooperation settlement with L3Harris, will contribute to plane
modification, components manufacturing, and operational coaching.
The
mission is predicted to supply the home protection trade with
alternatives for expertise switch, enhancing indigenous
capabilities and facilitating integration into international provide
chains.
