Shopify shareholders narrowly approved a measure to protect the voting power of co-founder and Chief Executive Tobi Lütke.
About 54% of shareholders on Tuesday voted in favor of granting Mr. Lütke a new so-called founder share that, on top of his existing supervoting Class B shares, raises his voting power to 40% from 34%.
