Scottish Video games (159th yr), Niles Vintage Faire (61st yr) will shut out August within the Bay Space

Two of the Bay Space’s longest-running traditions will cap off the month of August 2025 — and each happen in Alameda County.

In Fremont, the 61st Niles Vintage Faire and Flea Market will get below manner at 6 a.m. Sunday (sure, that early) as collectors head to this historic district seeking discount finds. The occasion on Niles Boulevard and surrounding streets will run until 4 p.m. Admission is free; paid and free parking out there. Particulars: www.niles.org/antique-faire-and-flea-market

In Pleasanton, gates will open at 8 a.m. Sunday on the Alameda County Fairgrounds for the159th Scottish Highland Gathering and Video games. This celebration of Scottish tradition, music and the “heavy” sports activities has been held within the Bay Space since 1866. Admission and parking passes are offered on-line solely, even on occasion days; no tickets will likely be offered on the gate. The Video games will finish with a 6 p.m. ceremony.
