SAN JOSE — The twentieth annual Utilized Supplies Silicon Valley Turkey Trot had a document 23,000 folks registered to participate within the 5K/10K run, held Thursday morning.

“What a beautiful vision 20 years ago, and what an incredible legacy for our community,” mentioned San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan, who was on stage together with Silicon Valley Management Group CEO Ahmad Thomas, Sunnyvale Mayor Larry Klein, Santa Clara County Supervisor-elect Betty Duong, San Jose State College President Cynthia Teniente-Matson and Lisa Gauthier, an East Palo Alto councilmember who simply received a seat on the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors.

Olivia Clima and mother Debbie Clima went in a distinct culinary course to win the non-holiday division by dressing as a churro and cup of Dole whip.

Ero Doce of Turlock got here in first within the Elite 5K division, ending the three.1-mile distance in 13 minutes, 59 seconds – a brand new document for the race. The highest ladies’s finisher was Rayna Stanziano of Harmony, who completed in 16 minutes, 13 seconds. The highest males’s and ladies’s 10K finishers had been Benthan Vu of San Jose in 31 minutes, 39 seconds and Joanna Reyes of Santa Clara in 34 minutes, 59 seconds.
