San Jose Sharks announce coaching camp schedule, roster

SAN JOSE — The San Jose Sharks introduced their roster and preliminary schedule for the beginning of coaching camp.

Practices start Thursday at Sharks Ice in San Jose.

The Sharks roster consists of 40 forwards, 22 defensemen, and 6 goalies. The camp shall be divided into three teams for at the very least the primary three days, with practices held at 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and midday. Two of the teams will scrimmage towards one another at 9:50 a.m. at Tech CU Enviornment.

Gamers in every group haven’t but been introduced and will change every day.

Sharks prospects Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith, Collin Graf, Filip Bystedt, and Sam Dickinson, amongst others, will all be collaborating of their first NHL coaching camp. Newcomers to the Sharks embody veteran forwards Tyler Toffoli, Alex Wennberg, Carl Grundstrom, and Ty Dellandrea, defensemen Jake Walman and Cody Ceci, and goalies Vitek Vanecek and Yaroslav Askarov.

All practices and scrimmages are free and open to the general public. Nonetheless, parking at Sharks Ice in San Jose is restricted, with spillover parking obtainable for a charge throughout Alma Ave. within the San Jose State Parkade.

Spectators who want to watch the practices and scrimmages are requested to enter by the principle foyer of Sharks Ice, which faces South tenth Avenue, and proceed by the connector space earlier than reaching the Sharks’ primary observe rink.

SCHEDULE (by Sept. 24):

Thursday — Practices: Group A, 9 a.m.; Group B, 11 a.m.; Group C, midday; Scrimmage: Group A vs. Group B, 9:50 a.m.

Friday — Practices: Group B, 9 a.m.; Group C, 11 a.m.; Group A, midday; Scrimmage: Group B vs. Group C, 9:50 a.m.

Saturday — Practices: Group C, 9 a.m.; Group A, 11 a.m.; Group B, midday; Scrimmage: Group C vs. Group A, 9:50 a.m.

Sunday – Follow: Nongame group, 10 a.m.; Sport group vs. Vegas Golden Knights, 5 p.m., SAP Middle.

Monday – Group time off

Tuesday – Sport group, 10:30 a.m. skate, 7 p.m. recreation vs. Anaheim Geese, 7 p.m., SAP Middle; Non-game group, observe, midday.

All practices at Sharks Rink at Sharks Ice in San Jose; Scrimmages are held on the hooked up Tech CU Enviornment.
