San Jose man arrested on suspicion of homicide in reference to crash

SANTA CLARA – A 21-year-old San Jose man has been arrested on suspicion of homicide and reckless driving in reference to a deadly collision roughly a 12 months in the past in Santa Clara, police mentioned.

The 2-vehicle crash occurred on Stevens Creek Boulevard close to Tyler Avenue round 12:20 p.m. on Dec. 10, 2024, in line with the Santa Clara Police Division.

Police mentioned a pickup truck was touring westbound when it collided with an SUV making a left flip from the eastbound route right into a driveway.

Officers arrived to seek out the SUV driver, a 66-year-old San Jose man, on the bottom and his passenger, a 65-year-old San Jose lady, contained in the car, each affected by life-threatening accidents, police mentioned. They have been rushed to an space hospital, the place the person died.

“When that standard is abandoned and a life is taken through reckless or dangerous driving,” he continued, “we will not hesitate to pursue the most serious charges the facts support.”
