Right this moment, 7/11, is Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven shops

To rejoice the date and the corporate’s 98th anniversary, 7-Eleven shops will once more maintain Free Slurpee Day, giving out small Slurpees from 11 a.m. till 7 p.m. immediately (or till the machines run dry).

The flavour choices will increase as a buyer favourite returns to the Slurpee machines beginning immediately, the comfort chain mentioned. That’s the blue-colored pineapple-berry mix, Mountain Dew Infinite Swirl.

And for enjoyable, choose 7-Eleven areas will give out momentary tongue tattoos formed just like the Slurpee’s signature S which might be activated once you sip a Slurpee. The “Tongue-too Takeover” coloration selections are blue, inexperienced, pink and purple.

Members of the 7-Eleven rewards membership will get a second free Slurpee, with the net voucher redeemable by means of July 31.

When you’re sipping, listed below are some enjoyable info from the 7-Eleven web site:

— For those who’re a child at coronary heart with a protracted reminiscence, you’ll recall that the ICEE predated the Slurpee. In response to Wikipedia, 7-Eleven bought the ICEE know-how invented by Omar Knedlik in Kansas.

— The 7-Eleven firm was based in 1927 by “Uncle Johnny” Jefferson Inexperienced, who began promoting items of us may want every single day from the dock of an ice home in Dallas.

— The title 7-Eleven was adopted in 1946 to mirror the chain’s hours of seven a.m. to 11 p.m. These days, most are open 24/7.
