The Larger Lake Tahoe Space and Larger Lake Tahoe space are included in an up to date lake wind advisory issued by the Nationwide Climate Service on Sunday at 11:07 a.m. The advisory is legitimate for Sunday between midday and 10 p.m.

In keeping with the NWS Reno NV, “Southwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Waves 1 to 3 feet on Lake Tahoe.”

“Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve,” the NWS stated. “Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind.”
