The Nationwide Climate Service launched an up to date lake wind advisory at 2:14 a.m. on Wednesday legitimate from 2 p.m. till Thursday, Mar. 27 at 8 p.m. for the Higher Lake Tahoe Space.
The NWS Reno NV states to count on, “Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph and waves 2 to 4 feet on Lake Tahoe Wednesday. On Thursday, southwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Wave heights 2 to 5 feet.”
“Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions improve,” the NWS stated. “Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a sudden increase in winds and wave heights. Consider postponing boating activities on the lake until a day with less wind.”
