REDWOOD CITY — Two males had been arrested Tuesday for allegedly attacking a 20-year-old man in a car parking zone whereas armed with sharp objects, police mentioned.

The primary suspect, a 47-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a lethal weapon, evading a police officer, conspiring to commit against the law, car hit and run, parole violations and resisting arrest, in accordance with a press launch from the Redwood Metropolis Police Division. The second suspect, a 36-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a lethal weapon, conspiracy to commit against the law, parole violations and resisting arrest.

Shortly earlier than 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to experiences that 4 to 5 folks had been attacking and probably stabbing a person in a car parking zone on the 1400 block of Ebener Avenue, authorities mentioned.

When officers arrived, the suspects fled the world in a van, authorities mentioned. Bystanders recognized the van because the car concerned within the alleged assault.

Police pursued the van eastbound on Woodside Highway as the driving force refused to drag over, authorities mentioned. The motive force of the van turned onto Hudson Avenue, colliding with a parked car. The motive force, the 47-year-old suspect, then ran from the car and was apprehended a “short distance away,” police added.

The entrance passenger of the van, the 36-year-old suspect, refused to exit and officers introduced in a K9 canine, which bit him on the arm, authorities added. He was then taken into custody by officers.

Police haven’t situated a 3rd suspect who they consider left the van previous to officers’ arrivals, they mentioned.

In surveillance footage from an residence advanced, two suspects had been seen allegedly chasing the sufferer with “long sharp objects,” police mentioned.

The 20-year-old male sufferer was unhurt and was uncooperative with officers, authorities mentioned.

The 2 arrested suspects and their van had been recognized by a number of witnesses, authorities added. The case stays beneath investigation.
