Prosecutors file costs in Berkeley taking pictures

BERKELEY – A 46-year-old man is dealing with felony costs for allegedly chasing down and taking pictures at 4 theft suspects earlier this month in Berkeley, police stated.

The taking pictures occurred Oct. 4 close to the intersection of Ashby Avenue and Seventh Road, in line with the Berkeley Police Division.

Police stated the person noticed the suspects steal a Nissan Altima throughout a theft in Oakland and chased them into Berkeley, the place he fired a handgun at them from a Chevrolet Tahoe.

The Nissan traveled into neighboring Emeryville and collided with a parked automotive within the 6700 block of Hollis Road, in line with police. The suspects then ran from the Nissan.

The person within the Chevy, together with a feminine passenger, stopped on the scene and took two baggage from the Nissan, police stated. They have been gone by the point officers arrived.

Emeryville officers later detained the theft suspects once they returned to the Nissan, in line with police.

The person within the Chevy and his passenger have been arrested Oct. 6 in Oakland, police stated, including that three firearms – a shotgun and two pistols – have been discovered contained in the Chevy.

On Tuesday, the Alameda County District Lawyer’s Workplace charged the person with taking pictures at an occupied automobile, carrying a hid firearm in a automobile, carrying a loaded firearm in a automobile, possession of a short-barreled rifle, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of ammunition by a prohibited individual.

The person is being held with out bail on the Santa Rita Jail. He’s scheduled to seem in court docket Thursday morning.
