ANTIOCH – After Tuesday’s 61-46 win over Head-Royce, Cornerstone Christian has put itself in prime place to win the Bay Space Convention East Division common season crown.
Holding a one-game lead over visiting Head-Royce, star level guard Benjamin Lukacs scored 17 factors to steer Cornerstone to a decisive league win.
Cornerstone senior Kamel Johnson totaled 10 factors, sophomore Pierre Tyson added 9 and TS Drayden had seven and was a standout on protection.
“It’s what we do every year, we haven’t lost a league game in two years,” Drayden stated. “We’re trying to keep that streak going.”

Pinole Valley’s Khaya Jackson led all scorers with 19 factors, and freshman Dannyae Turner scored 10.

Sofie Addiego torched the nets to the tune of 5 made 3-pointers and 17 factors scored as California romped previous Livermore. Trinity Chu had an exceptional all-around sport with 10 factors, 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 5 assists, whereas Lana Vu and Carissa Rogers every had 13 factors for the San Ramon college.
Hillsdale 46, Westmoor 34
Senior guard Lexi Carson put Hillsdale’s offense on her shoulders, scoring a game-high 21 factors to propel the Knights to their seventeenth victory in 19 video games. Daniella Sierra was second in scoring with eight factors. Kiana Chavez scored 11 factors to steer Westmoor. Hillsdale led 14-3 after one quarter.
