Police proceed to research Oakland tried theft

OAKLAND — The police investigation into an tried armed theft Wednesday afternoon outdoors an East Oakland market — which noticed a safety guard hearth a shot and three suspects later crashing a car in Hayward — is continuous, authorities stated Friday.

Nobody has been charged within the incident and extra suspects are being sought.

Police consider a number of suspects — some with weapons, driving in a number of autos — had been planning to rob a market at a shopping mall within the 10900 block of Worldwide Boulevard about 3 p.m. Wednesday. As an alternative, the group was confronted by a safety guard who fired a minimum of one shot at a few of them, prompting all of the suspects to flee within the autos.

One of many autos was noticed by a bike officer a brief distance away. However when it did not cease, officers on the bottom turned the pursuit over to the Oakland police helicopter.
