A search on the dwelling of a Seaside man turned up 5.8 kilos of methamphetamine, an estimated 14,000 capsules suspected of containing fentanyl and greater than $15,000 in money, Monterey police mentioned Friday.
Monterey detectives, with the help of Seaside police, served the search warrant at 11 a.m. Thursday on the dwelling of Johnny Rodriguez, 34, within the 1100 block of Shafer Avenue close to Del Rey Oaks, police mentioned in a press launch.
Along with the methamphetamine, capsules and money, police seized a pound of powdered fentanyl, one-third pound of cocaine, digital scales and bundle supplies.
Police mentioned the estimated avenue worth of the narcotics was $175,000. Rodriguez’ bail was set at $1 million.
