Washington D. C. – Dignitaries from throughout Washington and world wide crammed into the U.S. Capitol Rotunda on Monday to look at energy switch peacefully from Democratic former President Joe Biden to his Republican successor, Donald Trump.

The photographs are particularly notable this yr given the ferocious animosity between the groups coming and going.

The photographs seize Biden, who framed his presidency as a bridge away from Trump’s first time period, partaking within the traditions of the workplace as he handed energy again to the person he’s dubbed a risk to democracy.

They seize Vice President Kamala Harris along with Trump and Vice President JD Vance, the working mates who defeated her in November following a bitter marketing campaign.

They present the billionaires who’ve made their means into Trump’s internal circle, a stark distinction to his first inauguration, when a lot of the nation’s elite shunned the disruptive chief.

And so they seize some lighthearted moments as effectively, together with former President George W. Bush winking and Trump trying to kiss his spouse, first girl Melania Trump, however being blocked by the brim of her hat.
