OAKLEY — A pedestrian who police stated was in the midst of a roadway died Sunday evening after being hit by a automobile, authorities stated.

Officers have been referred to as to Fundamental Road close to Sandy Lane about 11 p.m. and located the pedestrian with heavy trauma down within the roadway, in accordance with a press release from Metropolis of Oakley spokesperson Danielle Navarro.

Authorities pronounced the pedestrian lifeless on the scene. They haven’t launched the particular person’s determine publicly.

The motive force stayed on the scene, gave police a press release and offered blood to find out if alcohol or medicine have been within the system. Police didn’t make an arrest.
