OAKLAND — Federal prosecutors declare a 38-year-old man allegedly pocketed a $50,000 examine that Steph and Ayesha Curry wrote for an East Oakland boxing membership, all to get Amazon objects, a trip rental property and an SUV.

If convicted, Solomon might resist 20 years in jail and a whole bunch of 1000’s of {dollars} in fines.

Prosecutors say Solomon was working because the membership’s government director in 2017 and, in some unspecified time in the future, started transferring cash from the group into his personal financial institution accounts. Among the many checks he allegedly stole was a $50,000 donation that the Currys made in 2019 on the Ellen DeGeneres Present, as a part of this system’s “Ellen’s Greatest Night of Giveaways” section, based on the U.S Lawyer’s Workplace.

Solomon allegedly used the cash from the boxing membership for a number of private bills, together with a trip rental property, a Ford Explorer and objects from Amazon, the lawyer’s workplace stated.

Solomon is also accused of submitting false tax returns from 2018 to 2021 — the yr he left the nonprofit — to cover the embezzled cash, the company stated.

The fees have been filed Feb. 26.
