OAKLAND — Tried homicide prices have been filed in opposition to two Skyline Excessive Faculty college students within the Wednesday capturing of a classmate in a campus toilet, authorities mentioned Friday.

Each suspects, 15 and 16-year-old boys who had been arrested the day of the capturing, remained in custody at juvenile corridor, based on authorities.

The 15-year-old boy who was shot within the torso is recovering and is in “good spirits,” police mentioned.

The capturing occurred about 1:25 p.m. Wednesday in a rest room on the faculty, which is at 12250 Skyline Blvd. within the Oakland hills.

Though each suspects had been armed with what police mentioned had been semi-automatic “ghost guns,” it’s believed the 15-year-old suspect is the one who really fired photographs.

Police have mentioned the three youths knew one another, however a motive for the capturing has not been confirmed.

Each suspects tried to flee after the capturing however had been unsuccessful.

The 15-year-old boy was caught attempting to scale a fence and a gun was present in his backpack, authorities mentioned.

The 16-year-old suspect was noticed hiding on the roof of the college gymnasium by officers in a police helicopter and was taken into custody by floor models. A gun was additionally discovered on the roof.

Police mentioned the truth that faculty employees and officers, the primary of whom responded to the campus inside two minutes, had been capable of work collaboratively was a key to the arrests.

John Sasaki, a faculty district spokesman, was requested Friday morning if the 2 suspects can be expelled however no response was acquired as of mid-afternoon.
