A fireplace at a Mountain View condo complicated brought on an estimated $1 million in harm Saturday afternoon when improperly saved chemical substances ignited on a balcony, based on the Mountain View Fireplace Division.

The hearth displaced seven adults from the multi-family condo complicated within the 700 block of South Oak Road. One bystander was evaluated for accidents by Santa Clara County paramedics however declined transportation to a hospital, the fireplace division wrote in a social media publish.

The hearth began about 1:24 p.m. Firefighters arrived at 1:29 p.m. to search out flames consuming two residences on the second ground. Crews launched a water hose assault on the hearth and prevented it from spreading to different residences.

The California Skilled Firefighters Union supplied the seven grownup victims with $250 reward playing cards from its Provide Support to Victims of Emergency Program. The American Pink Cross was referred to as to help residents in want of short-term housing.
