A musical Valentine

Vocalists embrace Bart Perry and Karen DeHart from “Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show,” AJ Jaffari from “Kinky Boots,” Caitlin Papp from “Fun Home” and Mary Melnick from “Truce: A Christmas Wish from the Great War.”

Doorways open at 7 p.m. for a preshow reception, and the music begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25-$90 at https://cltc.org/occasion/coronary heart.

Younger Writers Contest

Jack London State Historic Park is accepting entries for its tenth annual Younger Writers Contest for sixth- through-eighth-grade college students. Entries must be quick tales a couple of group of associates on a tenting journey who get stranded within the wilderness and uncover a mysterious set of footprints.

For contest guidelines and entry varieties, go to https://jacklondonpark.com/annual-young-writers-contest. The competition closes at 11:59 p.m. on March 31, and winners will probably be introduced by April 21. Prizes are $300, $200 and $150 for first, second and third place, respectively.
