Menlo Park man arrested for crashing automotive into parked automobiles after making an attempt to set fireplace to Saratoga vineyard

A 42-year-old man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly tried to begin a hearth at a Saratoga vineyard, crashed into two parked automobiles after which barricaded himself inside his Tesla, authorities stated Monday.

Beri Vikram, of Menlo Park, reportedly tried to spark a hearth on Saturday afternoon at Garrod Farms Property Vineyard and Stables. When confronted by workers, Vikram reportedly threw a wine bottle and fled in a Tesla. He then allegedly crashed into two parked automobiles, sending one over an embankment, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Workplace stated.

After that, Vikram drove off the embankment himself and refused to give up, authorities stated.

Deputies used pepperball and spray to ultimately power him to crawl out of the automotive.

He was then arrested and brought to a hospital for analysis.

The sheriff’s workplace stated Vikram shall be booked into the Santa Clara County Fundamental Jail on suspicion of assault with a lethal weapon and resisting arrest.
