Man tells Oakland police he was shot throughout a theft

OAKLAND — A  27-year-old man who informed police he was shot throughout a theft Tuesday evening in East Oakland was in secure situation Wednesday, authorities mentioned.

The person was being handled at a hospital for a face wound, authorities mentioned.

The person informed police he was strolling close to his dwelling within the 2100 block of East nineteenth Road about 10:20 p.m. Tuesday when he was confronted by two males, one armed with a pistol, who demanded his valuables.

The person mentioned one of many males grabbed a satchel from him containing his cellular phone and money.

He mentioned he was shot when he began yelling and working away, authorities mentioned.

Detailed descriptions of the suspects weren’t launched.
