Man fatally shot in downtown Oakland

OAKLAND – A 37-year-old man was fatally shot in downtown Thursday, authorities stated.

The title of the person, an Oakland resident, has not but been launched pending notification of his household.

The taking pictures occurred round 4:15 p.m. Thursday  within the space of Madison and 14th streets.

Law enforcement officials had been flagged down for a report of an individual mendacity on the street.

Officers discovered the person affected by at the very least one gunshot wound, and he was transported to a hospital the place he died at 9:21 p.m., police stated.

A motive for the taking pictures has not been launched.  No arrest has been made and no suspect info has been launched.

The killing is the 73rd murder investigated by Oakland police this yr and the second in two days.  On Wednesday afternoon a 52-year-old man was fatally shot at 71st Avenue and Hamilton Avenue in East Oakland.  Previous to that taking pictures, Oakland had not had a murder since Sept. 28.
