SAN MATEO COUNTY — A person drowned whereas fishing Wednesday on the San Mateo County coast, officers stated.
Crews had been known as to Bean Hole State Seashore close to Pescadero round 3 p.m. for studies of an individual within the water, based on the Cal Fireplace San Mateo-Santa Cruz Unit.
A lady stated she and her husband had been carrying waders and fishing when he vanished.
“She went to their car for something, and when she came back, he was gone,” Cal Fireplace stated.
A bystander noticed the person, and firefighters pulled him from the water. They gave him CPR, however he died on the scene.
He’s the fourth individual to die off the California coast in current weeks. Amanpreet Thind, a 35-year-old U.S. Military specialist from New Jersey, was swept into the ocean at Soberanes Level in Garrapata State Park on Nov. 22. Per week earlier, Yuji Hu, 39, of Calgary, Alberta, and his 7-year-old daughter had been killed in tough waters off Garrapata State Seashore.
A “beach hazards” warning was issued Wednesday for San Mateo County, with breaking waves anticipated to succeed in 10 to 14 ft, based on the Nationwide Climate Service.
