Man dies after struggling medical emergency, crashing into Oakley 7-Eleven

OAKLEY — A 57-year-old man died after he suffered a medical emergency and crashed his automotive right into a comfort retailer early Monday morning in Oakley, police mentioned.

The incident occurred simply earlier than 6:30 a.m. on the 7-Eleven positioned at 2001 Laurel Highway, in accordance with the Oakley Police Division. Officers discovered the person unresponsive within the driver’s seat, pulled him from the automotive and decided he was experiencing a medical emergency.

Police mentioned the person obtained care from officers and medical personnel, however he died on the scene.

An preliminary investigation revealed the person drove to the shop in his automotive and made a purchase order. He obtained again into his automotive, exited onto Laurel Highway and began to move east, however he then drove up and over the sidewalk and crashed into the shop, police mentioned.
