Man charged in Fremont motel theft allegedly involving prostitution

FREMONT — A San Pablo man has been charged with holding a gun to a lady’s head and robbing her at gunpoint, courtroom information present.

The 25-year-old man was charged on Thursday with theft, assault with a firearm, gun possession by a felon, and making prison threats, courtroom information present. The theft was reported to police two days later, by the alleged sufferer, who known as 911 from the Motel 6 in Fremont the place it occurred, authorities mentioned.

The lady informed police that the suspect robbed her after trying to recruit her into prostitution, authorities mentioned. In an interview, the person denied robbing her however as an alternative claimed the 2 had “exchanged blows” and that he had rifled via her purse afterwards, handing it again after discovering that there was nothing price taking, in response to courtroom information.

Police say the girl suffered a number of bruises and that textual content messages between the 2 backed up her declare that he’d stolen cash and her purse. She was briefly hospitalized, authorities mentioned.

The person was on parole for a 2024 conviction involving housebreaking, grand theft, and a police chase in Santa Clara County, in response to courtroom information.
