Man arrested on suspicion of robbing San Leandro comfort retailer at gunpoint

SAN LEANDRO – A 51-year-old Oakland man was arrested on suspicion of robbing a San Leandro comfort retailer at gunpoint Tuesday afternoon, police mentioned.

An investigation revealed the suspect brandished a handgun on the retailer clerk and demanded cash, police mentioned. The clerk complied and handed over money from the until.

Utilizing public security cameras, detectives decided the suspect automobile was touring by Oakland, police mentioned, including that the automobile had been reported as stolen.

Detectives later discovered the suspect within the automobile close to Foothill Boulevard and twenty third Avenue. With assist from the Oakland Police Division’s air unit, detectives took him into custody with out incident. Police mentioned a handgun and money have been recovered on the scene.

The person was arrested on suspicion of theft, possession of a stolen automobile and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
