
A minor earthquake struck Piedmont on Monday afternoon, hours after after a swarm of rattlers to the east in San Ramon.
The two.9 quake was centered off Dawes Road in Piedmont, in keeping with the U.S. Geological Survey. It was centered simply lower than three miles underground, the company mentioned, inflicting homes and buildings to jolt across the small city and the encircling Oakland neighborhoods.
The fault seemed to be centered on the Hayward Fault, which runs by means of the East Bay. There have been no quick stories of extreme harm from the temblor.
