Macklin Celebrini not on ice with Sharks on second day of coaching camp

SAN JOSE – The San Jose Sharks didn’t have second-year middle Macklin Celebrini on the ice Friday as they completed their second day of coaching camp.

It was not instantly clear as to why Celebrini was not on the ice together with his assigned group on Friday. Nevertheless, after he skated on Thursday, the primary day of camp, Celebrini reported to the crew that he wasn’t feeling effectively. He was then despatched house by the Sharks’ medical employees.

Common supervisor Mike Grier stated Thursday that Celebrini was not coping with an harm.

“He just was kind of not feeling great when he came off the ice,” Grier stated Thursday of Celebrini, “(so we) sent him home, get some rest, and we’ll evaluate him in the morning.”

Celebrini’s group was the third and closing one of many day at Sharks Ice. Celebrini’s group, which incorporates Will Smith and Jeff Skinner, practiced first on Thursday and scrimmaged in opposition to one other group led by Tyler Toffoli and Alexander Wennberg.

Celebrini, 19, is coming off a spectacular rookie season as he completed second amongst all rookies in each objectives (25) and assists (38) and was tied for second in factors (63). He additionally tied for the NHL rookie lead with eight power-play objectives, ranked second in each even-strength factors (41) and power-play factors (22).
