Farm gear firm John Deere is recalling about 147,900 compact utility tractors within the U.S. because of the threat they might lose braking and crash.

The recalled John Deere 1023E, 1025R and 2025R compact utility tractors may pose a “crash hazard” to customers if their entrance bell crank within the brake linkage experiences a failure, in response to a recall alert printed Thursday by the Client Product Security Fee (CPSC).

Within the alert, it instructed affected prospects to not function their tractors till they acquire a free restore from a licensed John Deere supplier.
