Actor Isabelle Tate, who died Sunday at age 23, had a neurological situation referred to as Charcot-Marie-Tooth illness, her expertise company stated on social media Thursday. Tate starred in a latest episode of “9-1-1: Nashville.”

“We are deeply saddened and completely heartbroken to share that Isabelle Tate passed away on October 19th,” the McCray Company wrote in an Instagram put up Wednesday. “I’ve known Izzy since she was a teenager and she recently returned to acting. She booked the first series she auditioned for, 9-1-1 Nashville. She had a wonderful time.”

Her household stated that she had “recently returned to acting,” reserving a task on the primary episode of “9-1-1: Nashville,” which filmed in June and aired earlier this month. 

The household requested memorial contributions be made to the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Affiliation, a nonprofit targeted on growing new therapies for the illness.

In 2022, Tate shared that she was recognized with a progressive neuromuscular illness on the age of 13, writing in an Instagram put up that it weakens her legs over time. She didn’t identify the illness.

“Recently, it’s really progressed and I’ve come to terms that if I want to live my life to the fullest I need to use a wheelchair at times,” she wrote. 

Tate’s demise was additionally introduced by way of an on-line obituary, which described her as “full of fire, a fighter, never once making excuses for the fact that she might have a disability relative to others.”

Based on the obituary, Tate was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated from Center Tennessee State College. 

What’s Charcot-Marie-Tooth illness? 

Charcot-Marie-Tooth illness, or CMT, is a bunch of inherited circumstances that trigger nerve harm and smaller, weaker muscular tissues, in response to the Mayo Clinic.
