Individual killed in obvious fall in downtown Redwood Metropolis

REDWOOD CITY – An individual was killed in an obvious fall over the weekend in downtown Redwood Metropolis, police mentioned.

Officers had been dispatched to the 1900 block of Broadway round 2:30 a.m. Sunday for a report of an unconscious individual, in keeping with the Redwood Metropolis Police Division. They arrived to seek out the individual mendacity in a driveway resulting in a sublevel parking construction.

Police mentioned the individual had suffered “obvious head trauma” and was pronounced lifeless on the scene.

The San Mateo County Coroner’s Workplace will launch the individual’s identification as soon as it’s confirmed and their subsequent of kin is notified.

Whereas the trigger and circumstances surrounding the individual’s loss of life stay below investigation, police mentioned “preliminary findings suggest there is a strong likelihood that the individual fell from the ground level to the lower level of the parking entrance.”

The case, for now, is being investigated as an “unattended death,” in keeping with police.
