Indian workforce to go to U.S. this week for commerce talks

A workforce of senior officers from India will go to the U.S. this week for commerce talks and negotiations on the proposed Bilateral Commerce Settlement (BTA) are progressing properly, a prime official mentioned on Monday (October 13, 2025). In February 2025, leaders of the 2 nations directed officers to barter a proposed BTA.

It was deliberate to conclude the primary tranche of the pact by the autumn (October-November) of 2025. To this point, 5 rounds of negotiations have been accomplished.
